"A Good Day to Die Hard" is the tenth episode of the third season of film review web series Half in the Bag, and 47th episode in the series overall. The episode aired February 22, 2013 on Blip.[1][2]
In this episode, Mr. Plinkett threatens to fire Mike and Jay if they continue to procrastinate, so they watch a movie.
Plot[]
Unhappy with the progress on his VCR, Mr. Plinkett issues an ultimatum to the repairmen. However, Mike and Jay spend the evening playing with Jay's new iPad and discussing A Good Day to Die Hard.
When Mr. Plinkett returns from the library with a box of VHS tapes and demands to watch Beverly Hills Cop 2, the duo panic. Mike jerry-rigs a solution using Jay's iPad. Unfortunately, Plinkett insists on watching all the VHS tapes in the box. As Jay's iPad battery becomes depleted from watching Beverly Hills Cop 2 on loop, the duo can only wait until Plinkett realizes their scam.
Mike and Jay are saved by a fortuitous power outage, but Plinkett pulls out his own iPad. He reveals he was aware of Mike and Jay's deception and he forced the duo to watch Beverly Hills Cop 2 repeatedly as a lesson.
