"Christmas with Mr. Plinkett" is fifth episode of the 789 Films animated web series, Mr. Plinkett: The Animated Series. It first aired on December 11, 2011 on YouTube.[1] The episode was animated and edited by Shaun McKinnon, combining preexisting voice-work by Mike Stoklasa and RedLetterMedia productions to create a unified story.[2]

In this episode, Mr. Plinkett spends his Christmas holiday reading fan mail.[3] This episode was originally produced as the third in the series, but was released as the fifth episode after RedLetterMedia picked up the series.

Mr. Plinkett reads some holiday fan mail at the Santa Claus' 50's Cafe in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He flirts with Bea Arthur and gives her a Christmas gift, but they start arguing. He throws Bea down a well, but she climbs back up.

When the credits roll, it is revealed that the previous scene is the ending to a Christmas romantic comedy directed by George Lucas. Unfortunately, the screening is a disaster and everyone returns to the cafe to drink.

Episodes leading up to Episode 7 "Mr. Plinkett's Halloween Spooktacular!" were initially distributed with alternate titles; the original title of this episode was "Merry Christmas, Mr. Plinkett." Many visual references to RedLetterMedia productions are scattered throughout the short.

Sources for the audio used in the episode were captured from various RedLetterMedia productions.

The episode first aired December 11, 2011 on the 789 Films YouTube channel.[1] It was officially released August 19, 2012 on Blip,[4] and later added to the RedLetterMedia YouTube channel on March 16, 2013.
